Community

Our community centred Hub supports vulnerable people and their families living with the devastating effects of dementia. Our unique approach provides a vital lifeline to those with the condition, their families/carers and the local authorities also supporting them.

The Community, our members and their carers

We support those with a dementia diagnosis but are also inclusive and open to anyone suffering with memory problems of any kind regardless of whether a GP or healthcare professional has started a support pathway.

Our Hub is open to anyone living in Leicestershire and we provide opportunities for our community to become involved through fundraising and volunteering.

How we work with support services

Our unique approach provides a vital lifeline to those with the condition, their families/ carers and the local authorities also supporting them. Our very existence takes the strain from NHS and Social Services as we bridge the gap while our members and future members are on long waiting lists.

Working alongside NHS support services including GP’s and Mental Health services we are able to provide face to face carer guidance on how to best support your loved one. We help navigate public services and can signpost benefit entitlement and support application writing.
