Bright Ways Community CIC brings people together through community groups, wellbeing activities, outreach and practical support for older people, families and carers.
Founded by a team with decades of combined experience in mental health and physical healthcare, our work grew from supporting people living with dementia and memory problems within the local community. Over time, we recognised that many people were facing isolation, loss of confidence, reduced mobility and lack of connection long before formal support was available.
Today, Bright Ways Community CIC delivers inclusive community support that focuses on connection, wellbeing and meaningful social engagement.
We run friendly and welcoming community groups designed to help people stay active, connected and supported. Our activities include outreach sessions, walking groups, movement and wellbeing activities, men’s social groups and community-based support sessions that encourage friendship, confidence and independence.
Alongside our community work, we also deliver practical training and workshops for care homes, community organisations, families and carers.
Our training focuses on:
• Dementia awareness and understanding
• Meaningful engagement and communication
• Wellbeing activities and group support
• Supporting older people within the community
• Practical approaches to person-centred care
We believe support should feel human, welcoming and accessible. Our aim is to create spaces where people feel included, valued and connected to their community.
At the heart of Bright Ways Community CIC is a simple belief:
small moments of connection can make a real difference to someone’s wellbeing and quality of life.
Whether you are looking for community support, training for your organisation or guidance for a loved one, we are here to help.
