Community Support & Outreach

Many people do not know where to turn when memory problems, caring responsibilities, loneliness or changes in later life begin to affect everyday life.

Bright Ways Community CIC provides community support and outreach services across Leicester and Leicestershire, helping people access practical support, meaningful activities and local services that improve wellbeing and quality of life.

Funded through The National Lottery Community Fund, our outreach programme enables us to reach people who may be isolated, struggling to access support or unsure what help is available.

Supporting People Earlier

We believe support should be available before people reach crisis point.

Our outreach work helps identify individuals and families who may benefit from additional support, guidance or community connection.

We work with older people, people living with memory problems, family carers and those experiencing loneliness or social isolation.

Supporting Families and Carers

Families often tell us they feel overwhelmed, exhausted or unsure where to turn for advice.

We provide information, reassurance and practical guidance while helping carers connect with local services, support networks and community activities.

Sometimes having someone to listen and point families in the right direction can make a significant difference.

Connecting People to Their Community

Many people lose confidence after illness, bereavement, retirement or changes in health.

Our outreach service helps people reconnect with their local community through social groups, wellbeing activities, movement sessions and opportunities to build new friendships.

We believe strong community connections help people remain active, independent and engaged for longer.

Promoting Wellbeing

Our work encourages both physical and mental wellbeing through activities that support movement, confidence, conversation and social connection.

These activities help reduce isolation, improve quality of life and create opportunities for people to remain active within their communities.

Working Alongside Local Services

We work closely with community organisations, healthcare professionals and voluntary sector partners to help people access the support they need.

By helping people find the right support at the right time, we aim to reduce barriers, improve wellbeing and help people maintain their independence for as long as possible.

A Community That Cares

At Bright Ways Community CIC, our goal is simple.

To help people feel connected, supported and valued within their community, while ensuring families and carers know they do not have to face challenges alone.
